Many children are waiting for sponsorship. The children listed below need sponsors quickly. We have children of elementary school age through college age who desperately need to be sponsored in order to attend school and to be provided with basic needs such as food and clothing. An education in China is not free as it is here in the United States. Without support, many families are unable to consistently afford to pay tuition in order for their children to attend classes. These children live in extreme poverty and need your help. Your sponsorship dollars provide tuition fees, clothing, medical attention if needed and enough food to feed both the child and their family. Your sponsored child will be able to write letters to you and perhaps even send you a drawing or craft that they have created. You may correspond with your sponsored child as well.

The cost to sponsor a child in our Outreach Sponsorship Program is $35.00 a month. The sponsorship fee for a child living in our orphanage, Hope House for Children, is $85.00 per month. Children needing a sponsorship to live in the orphanage are identified in their bios as a "Hope House Child". The sponsorship fee for children living in the orphanage is much higher due to the operating costs of the orphanage which include staff salaries, children's everyday living necessities (food,clothing,toiletries),and building maintenance which includes electricity and heat. It is not uncommon for temperatures to dip to 30 below in Linjiang in the winter months so the building must be heated constantly during these months. In your email please include your name, contact information, the name of the child you wish to sponsor and any questions you may have. Once we receive your email we will contact you with more details regarding our child sponsorship program. When reading through the children's bios, please notice the date that is listed for how long the children have been waiting for sponsors. Many children wait for over a year and soon lose hope that they will ever be sponsored. They sometimes are forced to drop out of school and find a job at a very young age in order to support their families. Please condsider the children who have been waiting the longest when choosing your child.

	HOPE HOUSE CHILD Wang, Zhizhang DOB 2/13/99 Waiting Since 5/07 Wang, Zhizhang's parents divorced when he was only seven months old. His mother later remarried.. His father lost his right arm in an accident and has been unable to find work The entire family depends on Zhizhang's elderly grandparents to provide for them. They have been struggling for a long time. Because of his extreme situation, we moved him to Hope House for Children in April 2007. UPDATE: Click on Wang, Zhizhang's photo to view a current picture of him. He has now been in the orphanage since May 2007. This is what the orphanage staff has written about him, " He is a very nice boy. He is very smart and studies hard. He gets along well with others. He is an introvert." All the children currently living in the orphanage have a sponsor. Wang, Zhizang needs financial support, but most of all he needs the love and encouragement that a sponsor can provide through cards and letters. How sad it must be for him that all the other children have sponsors and receive letters, but he receives nothing. Will you sponsor him today and provide him with hope, love and encouragement?
	HOPE HOUSE CHILD Zhong, Jiaming DOB Waiting Since 11/06 Zhong, Jiaming's parents divorced when he was seven years old. His mother has remarried and does not see him often and offers no financial support. Jiaming's father has gone to another city to look for work. Jiaming has been living with his aunt. His aunt and uncle are in bad health.. It's very difficult for them to take care of Jiaming. Jiaming was interviewed in November 2006 and accepted into our Outreach Sponsorship Program but was never chosen by a sponsor. His situation became so dire that in May 2008 he was moved to our orphanage, Hope House for Children. Yes, he is now safe in our orphanage and being well cared for. Financial responsiblilty now falls on our ministry, which can be a burden, but the Lord will provide. What Jiaming needs most of all is to know that someone, somewhere cares about him enough to become his sponsor. As a sponsor you will be able to correspond with him and offer him love and encouragement. Something that he needs so much right now. 	Zhang, Yonghui DOB 12/2/94 Waiting Since 8/07 Zhang, Younghui’s parents divorced when she was one years old. Her father died when she was five. Her mother remarried and left Zhang, Yonghui in the care of her grandparents. Her grandparents, who are farmers, earn very little money and both suffer from health problems. The family struggles each and every day. Zhang, Younghui needs your support in order for her to remain in school. Through sponsorship her tuition will be paid, she will receive clothing,school supplies, personal hygiene items etc. Her family will be provided food, firewood for heating and cooking and other basic necessities. You will transform her life! Can you help her today?
	Cui, Yongxin DOB 8/12/1988 Waiting Since 2/07 Cui, Yongxin's mother died from skin cancer in 2006. Her father, the sole provider of the family, works on a farm for a very low wage. In order to help support the family, her brother has gone to another city to look for work. Cui, Yongxin has been living with her aunt. It's very difficult for her father to pay for her tuition. Cui, Yongxin was a sponsored child until recently when her sponsor was unable to continue the support. She is a very good student. She will soon take the entrance exam to determine which university she is eligible to attend. With your help she will be able to further her education and break the cycle of poverty. Please sponsor her today and give her hope for a brighter future!
	Bi, Cheng DOB 12/27/1999 Waiting Since 12/07 Bi, Cheng’s father works in a forestry job. However, in this area the forestry work is unstable and he can go for long stretches of time without work. Bi, Cheng’s mother suffers with back problems and is unable to work. Bi, Cheng and his family live with his grandmother. With very little income, each day is a struggle for this family of four. Sponsorship can change that. With your help Bi, Cheng will no longer worry if he will have to quit school, because sponsorship will provide the funds for his school tuition. He will also receive clothing and medical care. His family will be provided food and other necessities such as firewood to cook with and keep them warm during the harsh winter months. 	Chen, Ruolan DOB 1/21/1999 Waiting Since 12/07 Chen, Ruolan’s father does not have a stable job, but can sometimes find temporary work. Her mother suffers from mental illness and is unable to work. This family desperately needs your help. It is nearly impossible for Chen, Ruolan’s father to support this family of three with his earnings. Sponsorship will provide Chen, Ruolan with school tuition, clothing and medical care. Her family will be given food. Throughout the year, she will be provided with other necessities like firewood for her family to cook with and keep them warm during the harsh winter months, personal care items, warm bedding etc., all which are provided through generous donations made to our Gifts of Hope program. 	Dong, Jiaqi DOB 8/01/1999 Waiting Since 12/07 Dong. Jiaqi’s father died shortly after he was born. His mother left the area to find employment. He now lives with his grandparents. His grandmother suffers from a serious back problem and is unable to work. His grandfather is a farmer who brings in a small income by selling the corn that he plants. It is very difficult for the grandparents to provide for him. Sponsorship will provide for school tuition and clothing for Dong, Jiaqi. He and his grandparents will receive food and other essentials like firewood to cook with and keep them warm during the harsh winter months. Sponsor him today and bring hope back into his life!
	Chen, Dan DOB 6/09/1990 Waiting Since 8/07 Chen, Dan’s parents are both farmers. They sell their vegetables in the market, but make very little money. Her father suffers from bone tuberculosis and finds it difficult to work. Chen, Dan also has an older sister. This family of four struggles with basic necessities each and every day. Chen, Dan had been a sponsored child for four years, but her sponsor was unable to continue the support. She needs your help so that she can stay in school which will prepare her for a better future. Your sponsorship will also provide her clothing and will provide food and firewood for her family. This really is a family that is in desperate need of help. Chen, Dan is a student that is well liked, kind and polite. She loves to correspond with her sponsor to learn more about life in America.
