Wang, Zhuo is 19 and has just been accepted into medical college and wants to become a doctor. She has been in our sponsorship program since she was 11 years old. pain. He is sometimes able to find temporary work. Jinyu’s
mother is disabled and unable to work. His grandmother
lives with the family. This family of four receives
some help from the government, but it is not enough
to cover basic needs. Each day is a struggle.
Pang, Jinyu is a good student and worries that he will
have to quit school if his family cannot afford the
school tuition. Many children his age drop out and find
jobs and never return to school. The cycle of poverty
then continues. Sponsorship will relieve this family’s

clothing for Jinyu and food for his family and other
necessities such as firewood to keep them warm in the

Cao, Jingwen, her younger brother and parents live together. Her parents also provide food and care for her grandparents. This is a family of six struggling to survive. Cao, Jingwen’s father is a farmer and earns very little money. Her mother suffers from heart disease, but can sometimes find temporary work that she is able to do.
Cao, Jingwen was a sponsored child until recently when her sponsor was no longer able to continue to provide support. You can see by this recent photo that sponsorship has provided her with a nice, new warm winter coat. Jingwen is doing well in school and sponsorship has helped both herself and her family. In the last letter to her sponsor she wrote, “My family is more happy than before. I am studying very hard. My grades are well. My teacher said I am a serious student and always praises me.”
