What a Sponsorship Provides
Recently we have been asked exactly what the sponsorship money provides, by some new friends as well as some old friends that just needed a refresher (don’t we all need a refresher once in awhile!). So for all of our new friends and as a reminder for our old friends:
To sponsor an Outreach Child costs $40.00/month ($480.00/year). These are children who still live with family members but are living in poverty and cannot afford to continue their schooling. Education is not free in China. Your sponsorship allows us to pay for their bi-annual tuition fees and we also purchase all of the necessary schoolbooks and study supplies. We provide clothing for the child, toiletries and other necessities throughout the year. Food such as rice, oil, flour and meat is provided to the entire family and then we give each child a Christmas gift and a Birthday gift as well as some special, fun items when we visit throughout the year.
To sponsor an Orphan costs $90.00/month ($1080/year). These children are living in unacceptable conditions or have no family members to care for them. They are taken into Hope House to live under the care of our dedicated andloving mamas and babas. Your sponsorship helps to defray the cost of their daily living needs, food, clothing, school tuition and school supplies, medical care, gifts, toys and anything else they may need. It also pays toward the salaries of the Hope House staff and the upkeep of Hope House. Our orphans become our family for life. We will take care of all of their needs.
