In Loving Memory of Al Mannon

1926-2007

It is with great sadness that we announce that Al Mannon, a faithful supporter and Chairman Emeritus of Threshold Ministries has passed away. Al served as Chairman of the Board for six years. In December 2006 he resigned due to illness.

Al was devoted to the ministry and spent many days at the office working with Cindy Reynolds, founder of Threshold. All traveled to China three times to monitor the orphanage construction project. While in Linjiang he loved to visit with the children. Al was in his 70’s and made the tiring and physically challenging trips out into the countryside without ever uttering a single complaint. Al saw first hand the needs of these children and their families. In response, Al and his wife Norma have proudly sponsored four children. One is now a university graduate who is living and working in Tianjin City. Children’s lives have been transformed through Al’s compassion.

Al was well known for his generous heart and unwavering faith. Threshold was blessed to have Al Mannon as a part of our ministry and he will be greatly missed.
